Productivity Development Group, Inc.,
(PDG) Westford MA, was founded in 1981 by Dr. Martin
F. Stankard. The company commenced operations
in 1982 as a highly focused consulting and management
training firm specializing in productivity and quality
improvement for service businesses and the service
side of manufacturing.
Prior to forming PDG,
Dr. Stankard was on the senior operations research
staff of a major consulting firm from 1969 to 1981.
Dr. Stankard was an innovator in bringing the methods
of operations research, statistical process control,
and systems analysis to complex, labor-intensive
service workflows in credit card, retailing, government
operations, and insurance firms.
