This one-day course is a companion to the two-day Team Training for Process Improvement. This course is designed for managers and executives who will be sponsoring teams. It helps them become familiar with the team improvement process and tools. The course stresses understanding of the sponsor’s roles and responsibilities and how they impact team success. It combines lecture with role playing.

	To provide management sponsors with an understanding of the tools, roles, and responsibilities of sponsors in coaching and guiding their teams to success;
	To develop management understanding of the team-based improvement process at the what-it-is level (not at the know-how level) so that sponsors can effectively coach teams;
	To build awareness of how a management sponsor’s behavior impacts team success;
	To provide a self assessment tool for improving personal team sponsorship behaviors and increasing team effectiveness;
	To let management sponsors interact, observe and analyze sponsorship behavior critical to effective and successful teaming.
